Maxwell Wines of McLaren Vale is particularly regarded as a specialist premium red wine producer.   Our portfolio includes wines made from Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Grenache, and Tempranillo.   The style is rich, full-flavoured and intensely varietal, with a definite emphasis on creating harmonious wines where superb primary flavours are delicately balanced with structural components.   In carefully maturing the wines in our underground cellars, our winemakers utilise some of the best French and American oak barrels available, focusing on this oak providing supportive rather than dominant characters in the final wine.

Alongside these reds we also produce white wines from Chardonnay, Verdelho, and Viognier.   Fresh and flavoursome, these varieties are slowly fermented at low temperatures to maintain the delicate characters developed in our vineyards.
