Petit Verdot is a classical grape variety of the Bordeaux wine region in south-west France and while often used in making the famous Bordeaux blend along with Cabernet Sauvingon and Merlot, Petit Verdot can produce outstanding varietal red wines in South Australia's much warmer climate.
