Our Minotaur Reserve Shiraz conveys the power and intensity of its namesake, the fearsome might of the half-man / half-bull Minotaur of Greek Mythology. Aged for 36 months prior to release, the rich complexity and bold structure of this wine makes it the perfect additrion to your cellar or wine fridge.

Visitors to Maxwell's Estate will stumble across our conifer maze lying at the feet of the Maxwell Winery. We welcome guests to discover the hidden corners and intricacies of the maze and see if the Minotaur does indeed lie within.

Immensely complex and captivating, the bouquet shows dark fruit richness, baking spice, vanillin oak, cracked pepper, and dark cocoa aromas. The powerfully expressed palate exhibits outstanding concentration and expansive mouthfeel, combined with finely infused tannins, finishing impressively long and alluring. At its best: 2027 to 2043.
